Base Wellington is a great value hostel located in Courtenay place, the heart of Wellington’s nightlife and entertainment area. The hostel is within easy walking distance to many of the city’s top attractions.
This funky hostel offers clean and comfortable dormitory-style accommodation, including special female-only dorms. Each dormitory has its own en suite bathroom, linen is provided and many of the rooms even have great harbour views.
There is a kitchen and dining area for all guests to use, plus a chill-out area, lively bar and TV room. Continental breakfast is available at the hostel, though there are also many cafés and eateries close by.

Room information
Quality linen is provided on the beds with pillows and duvets. Feel secure when staying with us as each person is required to have a security swipe card and swipe card access only to the hostel after 9.00pm. Every bed has a large locker which holds a back pack and if you need a padlock these can be purchased from reception.
Food & beverage
The Basement Bar has some of the best priced drinks in town, not to mention one of the best international party atmospheres changing from day to day. Basement is Wellington's only true Backpacker Bar.

The super shuttle will take you from the airport to base at any hour and will cost around NZD15 - NZD20. Taxi: A taxi between the city centre and the airport costs NZD20 - NZD25.
