We offer a courtesy coach pick-up service for most flights and from the railway station. Please note our courtesy coach only operates between 09:30am to 01:00 everyday, except public holidays.
The Hornby Shopping Mall is approximately 5 minutes' drive away and 7 minutes to Westfield Riccarton. Birches Motel is also located close to the Riccarton Racecourse and Riccarton Park Convention Centre.

Antarctic Centre, Willowbank Wildlife Reserve or Orana Park are all close by. We can also offer discount vouchers for these attractions as well as the Tram or Gondola. We are in close proximity to Riccarton Mall and Horby mall, for some excellent shopping opportunities.
Travel information
For those driving in, once you leave the airport, head down Memorial Drive, once you reach the second round about, turn right, so you are heading down Russley Rd. Keep going till you reach the first set of traffic lights, which is beside a petrol station. Turn left here, and continue along Yaldhurst Rd, we are a few hundred meters down the road.

If you are flying into Christchurch or using the Rail system, dial 19 on our freephone at the accommodation advertising board in the arrivals lounge at the Airport/Railway for a transfer to our Motel.
